Detail : As far as it is possible to tell the organ has not been restored significantly since 1877. Work was carried out to the pedal action in 1899 and in 1969 work was undertaken to enlarge and complicate the organ. It is possible to play on the Great (Swell and Pedal are unusable) using the original F&A ranks, the 1969 pipes are very poor and much of this action is failing. It would make sense to restore it the 1899 point; there is enough of the organ to make a restoration possible. Full report available.
